Support for Haiti

This past Sunday we took up a special offering for the people of Haiti and over $11,000 was raised!  Way to go WPA!

Some of you may still be interested in giving towards the relief efforts in this country.  If you want to give you can use the Canada Helps button in the footer of our website.  All money our church collects that is designated “Haiti” will be sent to ERDO where it will be matched dollar for dollar by the Canadian government (until February 12th).  You can also give directly to ERDO by clicking here.

Some of you have also expressed an interest in joining a team that will go to assist with the rebuilding efforts in Haiti.  We are keeping apprised of the situation and monitoring for opportunities to send a team but due to the nature of the disaster and the logistics involved we do not anticipate being able to send a team for a few weeks.  However, if you’d like to give us your name and contact information we will contact you when the opportunity comes.  You can leave your information by going to this form.
