Pastor Marshall
Pastor Marshall

Lead Pastor: Pastor Marshall Eizenga is a sports enthusiast and has been his entire life – although these days his enjoyment is purely recreational in nature. As much as he enjoys the thrill of participating in sports, he has found there is a greater thrill by far, in living a life empowered by the Holy Spirit. Life has taught him there is nothing better than living each day in the Presence and Power of the Spirit of God! His desire would be that everyone would live in this reality, experiencing the resulting overflow of divine guidance, blessing, favour and grace. His heart is “To Serve God and Love People.” Pastor Marshall and Merrie have been at WPA for over 20 years.  Merrie is an accomplished conference speaker and teacher. God has blessed them with 2 wonderful young adult  children who love God and are sports enthusiasts as well.

Pastor Darren

Pastor Darren

Assistant Pastor: Pastor Darren Ethier is a fan of hockey and is always looking for opportunities to lace up and get on the ice!  He really sees his ministry at WPA as a “dream job” and absolutely loves the emphasis WPA has on living and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Pastor Darren has a passion for helping people discover how God has made them and finding a place where they serve God in their gifting!  He has been in full-time ministry since 1996.  He is married to Kerryanne and they have 4 beautiful young children that keep life busy!  He is also a bit of a tech nerd and loves implementing and using technology in ways that benefit the kingdom of God.  As the Assistant Pastor, Darren oversees the adult ministries of the church.

Pastor Lisa

Pastor Lisa

Children’s Pastor: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 is a verse Pastor Lisa Mason wholeheartedly believes in. We are given very specific direction from God regarding children. We’re to teach the Lord’s decrees to our kids when we’re at home, when we’re out and about when we finish up our day and when we begin it. It is her desire to come alongside parents and their children to help in that process! She and her husband Andy have been serving kids and families at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly for over twenty-five years and Pastor Lisa has been in full time ministry for seven. Both Pastor Lisa and Andy get excited to see kids begin to understand what God’s plans and purposes are for them at a young age; to see them ministering throughout the church body because that is their heart’s desire, and to see the Fruit of the Spirit growing in their lives regularly. Pastor Lisa loves laughter, starry skies, fireworks, rainbows and waterfalls. But most of all, she loves seeing kids when they ‘get it’ – when the light goes on in their spirit and they understand and put into practice what God’s been showing them! Matthew 5:16 says “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” That’s what Pastor Lisa desires for her life and for kids’ lives.

Pastor Amanda

Pastor Amanda

Children’s Assistant: As far back as Pastor Amanda Weber can remember, she has been an active member of Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly. She accepted the Lord when she was a young child, and through hard times as well as the joyful times she has been living for Him. Amanda has been married for 3 years to an amazing man named Eric, and they both enjoy serving in Sparkle Kids Ministry. Their passion is to see the children here at WPA walk in Jesus’ footsteps. That is why she does her best to pour all she has into the lives of these wonderful children. She knows that one of her gifts is to show children as well as volunteers through her actions and lifestyle, how important it is to spend time with Jesus, and teach them that He loves them and longs to hold each of them. It is a blessing for her to speak into the lives of the children here at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly.

Youth and Youn Adults Pastor

Pastor Geoff

Youth and Young Adult Pastor: Lacking the power to fly, leap over tall buildings, run faster than locomotives, or stop bullets, Pastor Geoff Heeg has to rely on the Holy Spirit for the power needed to minister to youth and young adults in today’s culture. A Peterborough, ON native, Pastor Geoff came to WPA 13 years ago as a young adult and followed the call to ministry. In his fourth year on staff, he is just as giddy about what God has in store today, as he was when he began. Pastor Geoff, his wife Ingrid and their three gorgeous kids are proud to be a part of WPA and what God has in store for Waterloo Region.

Worship and Creative Arts Pastor

Pastor Janette

Music and Creative Arts Pastor: Pastor Janette Routley was raised in the southwestern Ontario countryside but made her way to living life in the city. After completing her BA in Language and Literature at Wilfrid Laurier,  Janette attended Hillsong International Leadership College in Australia, where she completed the Worship and Creative Arts Certificate IV program. Music has always been a central part of Pastor Janette’s life, no matter where she is. Pastor Janette used to run an ice cream store where she honed her percussion skills by drumming on ice cream buckets to create unique tribal sounds. She learned breathing techniques useful to singing by holding her breath for long periods of time as she drove by transport trucks while driving fast on her motorcycle.  As much as she loves singing, playing piano, eating ice cream and riding her motorcycle, Pastor Janette is most passionate about living for her God. Drinking chocolate milk takes a close second

Pastor Dave

Men’s Ministry and Outreach: Pastor David Hancock grew up in Durham Region. He can still remember that moment in service when the speaker from Eastern Pentecostal Bible College (now Master’s College and Seminary) asked the question, “who here thinks they are being called to ministry?”. At eighteen years of age, Dave felt the call to ministry. After marrying Monica (Wallace of KGT) in 1989, he graduated from Broadcasting College and joined 100 Huntley Street.  During some time of transition and growth, God lead Dave into full time firefighting with the City of Toronto, where he continues to be employed. Thankfully for Dave and Monica, God’s call to Bible College never went away. Now credentialed with the Western District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, Dave has accepted the voluntary position of Pastor overseeing Men’s Ministry and Outreach at WPA. Along with their two teenagers, Mitchell and Megan. Dave and Monica are looking forward to God’s hand in ministry as they minister part-time in Waterloo.

Pastor Gwen

As a church family our hearts are filled with sorrow due to the passing of a truly remarkable woman. Pastor Gwen went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 9th. She was an extraordinary Pastor whose love, compassion and care touched everyone who came into contact with her. We do miss her.
