Outreach
Our mission:
building People;
Building Relationships;
Building the Kingdom of God.
Our goal in the outreach ministry is not only to reach the hurting and lost of our city, but to improve the quality of life in our community.
BUS
Each Sunday morning, we have a bus that is driven throughout Kitchener-Waterloo in order to give people a ride to WPA for the 10:45a.m. service. Please call the church office for scheduling information and for the time that the bus will arrive at your door.
PRISON VISITATION
This is an opportunity to pray for members of our congregation who visit persons who are incarcerated in various institutions. They show that the inmates are cared for, and assist with school courses and allowing the inmates to share their thoughts and feelings.
RECLAIM AND RESTORE STREET MINISTRY
Each Tuesday night, following Concert of Prayer, at approx. 8:15, a team leaves WPA to meet in Downtown Kitchener. Once there, the team stops at Kitchener City Hall, Oasis Drop In Centre, and the House of Friendship, as well as walking along King St. to meet people, build relationships, assist people in various ways, Depending on the season, hot or cold drinks are given out, along with granola bars. As well, many hygiene items are given out along with other articles.
The team meets a great number of people at various stations in their lives, and are blessed as others are blessed.
