Young Adults
If you happen to find yourself in between the ages of 18-30(ish) regardless if you’re a student, young professional, or someone who is simply trying to figure it all out and whether you happen to be single or attached, then we absolutely have a place for you. Our hope is to provide you with people and avenues to bring you though the challenges and changes that your current life stage holds, whatever that might be and whatever that might look like…

Upcoming Events and Announcements for Young Adults
- The next YAK N SNAK is May 27 at Rachel Konnerth’s house. Directions will be available at the welcome centre. Check out the WPA Young Adults Facebook page for more details.
- SHIFT SERVICE - There will NOT be a Shift service on the third Sunday night in May. The next Shift service is June 17. This is a special Shift service where we will be looking at some of the difficult questions that YOU have regarding God, culture and the Bible. If you have a question that you’d like to hear answered at this service, please email it to: myquestion@waterlooassembly.org by June 7.
- SMALL GROUPS - We are squeezing back down into 2 groups for the summer months but will bring back our 3rd group option in the fall. We have 2 groups that meet during the week; Tuesday’s & Thursday’s. Join us for a great bible study, personal accountability and an opportunity to get to know other Christian young adults. Check out the times & location details in the info box below.
- FEEDING FRENZI – Feeding Frenzi has wrapped up for the year but join us on October 4th as we kick off another whole year of great and always FREE food. Check out the Feeding Frenzi Facebook page .
- Looking for some great VOLUNTEER opportunities? May 18-20 the Young Adults will be helping out at Overflow Youth Convention and May 26 we will be serving at Ray of Hope Community Centre. To sign up or to find out more details on either opportunity, email Pastor Kim today.

Small Groups — weekly bible study

The first week of May we are beginning a new, 4 week series on prayer. Mark Batterson takes on us a unique and inspiring journey of learning to pray in a bold new way.
Times & Locations - The Tuesday night group is held at Pastor Kim’s house (7 Glendale Rd. Kitchener) from 7-9pm and the Thursday night group is held at the church (in the cafe area) from 8-10pm.

*If you happen to be in your late 20′s or early 30′s, our Tuesday night group is made up specifically of “young professionals” and/or “career minded” individuals. Feel free to join this group to connect with other people in your walk of life.
(Sunday Evening Hangout)
(Runs year around, excluding holidays)
Every other Sunday evening, all the young adults will inundate someone’s home following the Sunday evening service…just to hang out, play games and eat. The venue always changes so check the church ‘Calendar of Events‘ or the WPA Young Adults Facebook page for specific event details!
(October 6th – March 29th excluding exams, holidays & reading week)
Every Thursday from 5:30-6:30pm we will be hosting a ‘Feeding Frenzi’ for anyone who is a student at one of our local colleges or universities. If you are a student and want an AMAZING free meal with no strings attached, come on out! Please be sure to have your student card. (Young Adults Focused Monthly Prayer and Worship Service)
(THIRD SUNDAY evening of each month)
Our Young Adult service is held on the Third Sunday evening of each month at 6:00pm. Shift is a night of worship and prayer for the youth and young adults in the Waterloo Region. This night is dedicated to ‘shifting’ our focus from a self oriented culture to a God oriented culture. Check out the Shift Facebook Page for monthly details!

Small Groups combine a compelling study of God’s Word, small group accountability, social connection and as always, great food. People are welcome to join at any time! We offer Small Groups on two different nights of the week. So whether you join the Tuesday night group or the Thursday night group, you’re going to get the same great study, discussion and accountability.
